Profit is what you get in your hands at the end. Revenue doesn't tell me anything unless it's paired with profit. Most UA-camrs tell you their revenue much more than they do their profit because it sounds better.

Do you have to pay for shipping and a shipping label because if so I am paying 18.75 for production shipping and shipping label leaving no room for profits because fees cost 2 so I need to price 26 to make profits that’s just to much because competitors r at like 15$ any tips thanks

Yesterday Etsy charged my credit card, 2 times. Now I didn't make any purchases but I did have 2 sales. I've been selling here for years and maybe I didn't notice this before, but don't remember it happening. I had the regular etsy charges on my etsy account for these sales and i do have auto billing, but I owe nothing for the month. So what are those charges for? I tried on Etsy to find this out, but there whole help thing is so complex i wonder how you'd find out anything there. I hope someone sees this question and helps me out with an answer. I couldn't even find the forums on there to ask this there. Etsy drives me nuts!!!

I tried to do Onesies on Etsy before, through Printful, and I got hit with trademark by Gerber for using the word Onesie. I had to change to One Piece or I couldn't sell them. That shop either had to license the word Onesie from Gerber or that was Gerber selling under the guise as a small time seller.

I find it rude that so many people can click on your ads and not buy anything. It's a lot of money wasted.

I am not sure if I understood how to get from 100 sales to 10k , I have 850 sales and ads are just spending my money without enough return. It looks like it's just an ad for ProfitTree, so people will make you money with affiliation.

Thank you so much for this video. It just confirmed my suspicion that Etsy is not the right platform for me. "Too many sellers, not enough buyers". Etsy will eventually go out of business as they do not have enough cash flow. I don't want to depend upon a dying platform that doesn't care if they close my store for no reason. Etsy is a dying platform.

I was a small shop called ThreadAndBones and I made upcycled things in that shop. It was shut down shortly after I did a password reset. Paid my late bill, and then signed up for Etsy payments. I never was given a reason but I'm PRETTY SURE it was because i paid my bill so late, was suspended and didn't appeal for 6 months.... I mean I did not remember my password and had no listings so I didn't realize that I owed them like a total of .80

It feels like a form of plagiarism. AI writing what you send off to a ghostwriter, is pretty strange from an authors perspective. We all know there are formulas when writing but this takes it to a new level. I can remember getting lost in books when I was young. Just so hard to put them down. But AI condensing our emails, a summary of some of my emails may leave out the important bits, that’d be a real worry. 🤭👏🏼 Great interview, and some handy facts to keep in mind.

Etsy is so FoS! I was selling upcycled goods, and they suspended my posts for Copyright Infringement. I asked them for an address for their Legal Department, so that I could send them my written permission. They stopped responding to my e-mails, but never un-suspended the posts. They're not interested in consistency and standards. They just want money and authority.

Hi! From my experience with Etsy, it seems that customers are primarily purchasing the listings that are advertised at any given time. In 90 percent of cases, they don’t explore the rest of my store. I’ve checked this multiple times. I typically advertise 2-3 listings at a time, and those are the ones that get purchased. Items that aren’t advertised don’t get bought. After a week or two, I advertise different listings, and then those get purchased. The issue is that my profits are completely consumed by advertising costs. However, if I don’t advertise, my listings don’t get seen at all. I’m unsure what to do about this. Any thoughts?

I have provided all possible proves but they havent been responding me properly from a month. Starla could be a full-time Etsy advocate. It is a shame it is needed in the first place. For 6 months, I have hesitated to open an Etsy shop for my handmade jewelry. Too many horror stories of Etsy kicking out subscribers. Etsy went downhill once it was flooded with POD, foreign sellers, and ads every other row. And, I can't find what I am looking for because the minus "-" search function doesn't work in Etsy like in Amazon and Ebay. I am seriously considering GoImagine. I don't know if Ebay would be profitable. I used to sell random things on Ebay from the late 90s to early 2010s. I got away from it when Ebay became too cheap from China sellers. Most people won't pay as much as they would on Etsy.
